Payphone Tag

From Payphone Tag Wiki

Payphone Tag is a real-world territory capture game played on public payphones across Australia. Players register as agents, receive a unique PIN, then physically visit Telstra public payphones and call the game number to capture them. Captured payphones earn points, and forming triangles between adjacent captured phones earns bonus points.

The game was created by Alex Allchin (al3x.au) as a personal project after acquiring a phone number and collecting a dataset of Australian payphone locations. It launched publicly and has since grown into an active community of agents competing for territory across every Australian state and territory.
