Photos make this wiki. Three steps:
- Upload the photo: Special:Upload — drag in a JPG/PNG/WebP (max 20 MB). Give it a descriptive filename (e.g.
Payphone_glebe_2037_north.jpg, notIMG_1234.jpg) and a short description. - Open the payphone page (e.g. Payphone:5519) and click Edit. If the page doesn't exist yet, you can create it from a search (follow the guide in Template:Payphone/doc).
- In VisualEditor, click Insert → Media and pick the file you just uploaded. Drop it under the
== History ==heading with a one-line caption ("North side, looking toward Glebe Point Rd, March 2026"). Save.
What makes a good photo
- Phone visible end-to-end with surroundings (helps people find it).
- Daylight if possible.
- Caption: which side of the street, when taken, anything notable (graffiti, repairs, a missing handset).
What not to upload
- Photos with identifiable people unless you have permission.
- Photos you didn't take and don't have rights to (no random Google results).
If your upload doesn't appear
First uploads from a new account go to Special:Moderation for a quick review. Once you're auto-confirmed (4 days + 10 edits) uploads publish immediately.
